The CBI is Britain’s leading business organisation. Its Great Business Debate is designed to inform and change views about business and the role that it plays in society. The campaign highlights facts, combats myths, provides a forum for people to share views and provides an opportunity for businesses to get involved in shaping the debate.

A majority of CBI members – representing businesses of all sectors and sizes – are clear that they want the UK to remain in a reformed EU.

With an in-out referendum on the UK’s EU membership now on the table, the CBI is recruiting for a Campaigns Adviser to assist with the organisation’s day-to-day work in this area.

The Business Voice Editor will take the lead in producing and managing all content for the CBI’s member magazine as well as developing engaging copy for a variety of member communications channels, both offline and online.

Based at our Belfast office, the CBI Northern Ireland team is responsible for growing the organisation’s membership base and providing intellectual leadership on public policy issues in Northern Ireland.

We're always on the lookout for smart people who can get things done. And there is a competitive salary in line with skills and experience + benefits for the right candidates.

Do big things that count. Work with us.

Why join the CBI?

We’re a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to help create and sustain the conditions in which businesses in the UK can compete and prosper for the benefit of all. We are the premier lobbying organisation for UK business on national and international issues.

We work with the UK government, international legislators, the business community and policymakers to help UK businesses compete effectively. Every department of government influences the prosperity and profitability of business, but the impact of proposed legislation may not be fully understood by those who devise it. The CBI is therefore vital to the entire business community because it can mobilise opinion and successfully bring influence to bear on government.

We succeed because we are the only organisation with the resources and expertise to cover such a range of business policy issues and have access where it counts: Westminster, Whitehall, across the English regions, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the EU and beyond.  No other business organisation has such an extensive network of contacts with government ministers, MPs, civil servants, opinion formers and the media.
